How Well Did You Do?
May’s Geo-Challenge included a test of who had been paying attention to the news. The country we asked you to identify was North Macedonia, which until earlier this year, was referred to as the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Congratulations to randomly selected Global Mapper winner, Frank O. Nitsche from the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University. Frank was one of the many who provided the correct name and who also correctly recognized the four additional locations.
